Start understanding and speaking the language in this introductory course, designed for students with little or no knowledge of Italian. The course emphasizes conversation, Italian culture and daily life. A relaxed environment encourages students to participate in real life communication situations. It continues the development of Italian language skills and includes some aspects of Italian culture. The class offers a relaxed environment for participation with a variety of lively communicative activities. In pairs and small groups, you will converse about yourself, family and friends, daily activities, and events. The full-immersion approach provides students with ample opportunity for natural language acquisition. No previous Spanish required. Rocío Alvear is a native Spanish speaker who was born in Quito, Ecuador. After graduating from high school in Ecuador, Rocío moved to the United States where she continued her education. This course develops conversation skills on a variety of subjects while consolidating grammar and building vocabulary. Conducted entirely in Spanish.
