Crime Scene Investigations-San Luis Obispo
Crime scene investigation tools and techniques have changed the way crimes are solved. The combination of scientific methods, advanced tools and investigative determination has advanced the role of the crime laboratory.
A discussion of the history of identification techniques precedes learning about some of the basic techniques of fingerprint collection and identification, trace evidence analysis and crime scene reconstruction. Whenever possible, a hands-on approach is used to reinforce the learning experience.
We study common myths about crime scene investigations and the role that forensic sciences have played in real cases.
Note: This course is approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider 424, for 10 contact hours.
